WOMEN’S Development League leaders Manchester University battled to a thrilling 13-13 draw with National League outfit Olympia in the EHA Women’s Cup on Saturday.
The student side lost out to Great Dane in their opening clash of the Cup pool last month, but upped their game significantly and proved a good match for Olympia.
In other Women’s Cup action, Deva beat Cambridge 23-20 with Popa scoring nine goals for Deva, while Agi Foglein scored seven for Cambridge.
And league leaders Ruislip Eagles cruised past Thames 37-24 with Dani Sposi scoring 15 times.
Maria Kourdoulos scored nine for Thames, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
