IT has been almost four years since schools in Thanet began to catch the handball bug, and there appears to be no stopping the growth of the sport!
The Thanet School Sport Partnership (TSSP) has been working hard with several other organisations to get the sport into schools, where it has proved so popular that many regular coaching sessions are now being staged across the town.
TSSP has received support from the Ursuline College as well as the Kent Handball Development Group and England Handball.
The main focus for the sport in Thanet is Dane Court, where the club meets each Wednesday. But as well as the regular sessions, there are several one-off events being staged to further the handball cause.
